North Meets South

An Amalgamation of Jaipur’s Blue Pottery and Channapatna’s Wooden Craft

The ‘North Meets South’ collection is a celebration of India’s rich artistic traditions. blending the intricate patterns of Jaipur’s blue pottery with the clean, geometric lines of Channapatna’s hand-turned wooden craft. This collection brings together the heritage of two distinct regions, creating pieces that are both functional and timeless.

Tales of Tradition and Craft

The name, ‘Blue Pottery’, originates from the Persian blue dye used to colour its intricate patterns, which often feature nature-inspired motifs of flowers and leaves. These designs are harmoniously combined with Channapatna’s hand-turned Sagwan wood, resulting in stunning pieces of art.

Jaipur’s skilled wood carvers meticulously chisel and embellish depth onto Sagwan, while artisans play with light, shadow, and texture to craft intricate patterns. Together, these two solitary art forms merge into designs that balance India’s cultural heritage with modern-day functionality.

The journey of this collection began with the challenge of blending these crafts while preserving their essence. Each piece embodies timeless beauty, rooted in India’s artistic heritage and traditions.
